Keys, rings and careless hands
Whatever is about to touch your car meets a hard-coated surface held a hand-span away from it instead.
Leaning, sitting, climbing
The shell takes the load and has somewhere to go. The clearance gap is what makes that possible.
Thrown objects and road debris
Impact-resistant segments, and any single one can be replaced on its own rather than the whole surface.
Rain, snow and meltwater
Overlapping joints, cold-rated seals, a perimeter gutter and four drains. Water leaves the way it was designed to.
Dust, pollen and birds
Filtered intake and slight positive pressure keep the air around your car cleaner than the air on the street.
Sun
A UV and IR rejecting coating with moving air behind it — not a fabric sheet lying hot against your paint.
Hail
A 150–250 mm air gap lets the shell deflect and recover before anything can reach a panel.

Time, noise and visibility. Three things a thief will not spend. Locks, alarm, video, location.

Almost everything on this page works because the shell is held away from the car.
Hail deforms the panel instead of the bonnet. A shoulder pushes the enclosure, and the enclosure has somewhere to go. Solar load lands on a coated surface with moving air behind it rather than on the paint. Water runs into a gutter instead of pooling on a cover.
A cover that touches the car transmits everything it receives. This one is not allowed to touch the car, in any mode, at any point in the sequence.

Concept imagery produced early in this project used the word "ballistic". It should not have. Nothing on this site claims it, and the engineering does not support it.

- The inhibit thresholds below are calculated, not certified. Certification needs CFD plus physical testing.
- Theft-proof
- No enclosure is. BRO ARMOR raises the cost of the attempt and records it.
- Hurricane-proof
- Not a claim any deployable structure of this mass should make.
