Universal platform
Three envelopes cover most of the market.
Rather than one infinitely adjustable contraption, there are three platforms with the same architecture and different rail lengths and arch geometry.
Vehicle length envelope per platform, drawn to scale. The lighter block is the minimum of the range.

Fit kits
The system is universal. The bracket is not.
A fit kit is the vehicle-specific part: brackets to approved structural points, spacer blocks, a harness adapter, a calibration profile and the vehicle geometry file the control module uses to know where the bodywork is.
No drilling into bodywork. When you change cars, the system comes with you and the fit kit is what you replace.
